Yan Xie, borned in 1983 in Changzhou, Jiangsu, graduated from Southeast University as Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) in 2005. From 2006-2009 she studied criminal law especially international criminal law and Anglo-American criminal law in College for Criminal Law Science in Beijing Normal University and got Master of Laws (LL.M.). During that period she also passed the national judicial examination and had a qualification. By the financial aid from CSC she went to University of Munich in Germany for pursuing Ph.D degree. After four years under the tutor of Prof. Bernd Schünemann she received Doctor of Laws (LL.D.), choosing the comparative criminal law and German criminal law as a field of research. She has published several articles in the magazines such as Law Journal, People's Attorney, Chinese Journal of Criminal Law, Criminal Law Review, People's Justice, Chinese Copyright, International Criminal Law Review, participated some domestic research projects, involved in two translating works, and also published translation work and monograph in Germany. Now she works as assistant professor in School of Law in Tongji University, the researcher of Chinese-German Institute for International Economic Law and in addition serves as the deputy editor and special reporter from Germany for the magazine Global Politics and Law.
